This site is dedicated to tracing the military history of the Martin-Haile family. Our ancestors participated in a majority of the wars and military campaigns of the United States. I have collected biographies and military unit histories from various resources to record the history of the sacrifices made my these men and women, as well as all men and women who have served this country.

This site contains many resources for researching military history or family genealogy. Over a period of time, I hope to include the unit histories of my ancestors from past campaigns, as well as general information about the various wars and campaigns in which they served. As I gather information, I will update the Researcher's Blog to provide background information, as well as a list of newly acquired information.
My primary consideration is to focus on the Civil War history of my ancestors. As time permits, I want to include citations and extracts from the Official Records, as well as reports of battles that they participated in. I have also been researching the circumstances and history of our WWII ancestors and want to start posting that information as I get it transcribed.

Numerous options are provided to help navigate around this site. The Main Menu will expand as you select the appropriate function. the top menu has various dropdown menus to assist you.
The Main Menu provides access to information about my ancestors from each campaign; Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War, WWI, WWII, Vietnam. Each area also has additional information, including unit histories, battle reports, extracts from Official Records, various articles, and books.
The Miscellaneous Menu provides access to Researcher's Blog, a commentary on my research; Forum, comments, questions, or information for other researchers; Links to other research sites; Bibliography, listing of research material, articles, or books; Contact Us, how to get in touch with the researcher.
